That would be a good outcome in my eyes as long as they are not expecting us to top up his wages. I don`t believe for one minute that they could afford the 160 large per week he was earning with us so if a compromise is to occur it has to be coming from the brasilian. What does worry me though is that little shitsack could slow down this tedious transfer down even more.......maybe that carpark attendant job Jonesey mentioned is the safest way to go after all.

Chop - i assume the offering lower fee and offering Robinho is to cover the loan fee. But i am thinking a step further, we should just pay the money for Mario and not worry about the lower offer..
Why not just just try to cut Madrid's lunch RE: Maicon. He wants a certain amount in wages, why dont we just offer double his Inter wage, it'd still be less than what we're paying Robinho now? If his Madrid move falls through, then i'd say a straight swap for Robinho (not loan) would be a pretty good outcome. New tax laws in Spain also that dont make it as attractive, make him ask himself: how much do i want to play for Madrid when i'm 28?
Not that i want to sign mercenaries moving to us just for the money, but Maicon is a player who along with his agent have always kept us in the conversation (perhaps to use as a bargaining chip) but they've been more pro Madrid as opposed to anti-City which so many of these other players have been
Maicon isnt a Torres, Mascherano, Cesc, Luiz etc. He and his agent have the highest regard for Mancini and for what he did to launch Maicon's career and i dont think they would consider City if we had another manager. Its similar to Kolarov, he would have preferred Madrid but wasn't going to turn down City
